Broughton
Craggs is an ideal base for exploring the Lake District, Solway
Coast and West & North Cumbria. Nearby are the Western & Northern
fells and lakes - Loweswater,Wastwater, Ennerdale, Skiddaw -
There are varying walks for all abilities through this beautiful
landscape.
The pretty market town of Cockermouth is 2 miles away. This was
the birthplace of the poet Wordsworth and there is a museum dedicated
to him. The Lakeland town of Keswick is only 14 miles away with
its 'Theatre by the Lake', pencil museum, Cars of the Stars and
much more.
The
Border City of Carlisle is only 20 miles away with its historic
castle, shopping centre, museums. Nearby is Hadrians Wall with
many ruins, information points and artifacts. The West Coast
has the lovely port towns of Whitehaven and Maryport as well
as Allonby beach & St. Bees.
Sandra and the staff know the Lakeland fells very well and would
